Li-Han “Lily” Tseng (she/her) received her Doctor of Music Arts in Vocal Performance from The University of Alabama and Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance from Longy School of Music of Bard College and Taipei National University of the Arts.
Dr. Tseng has experience teaching private voice and piano students, in addition to teaching musicianship lab and accompanying students studying voice. Tseng’s teaching is based on a comprehensive approach to the training of students and incorporates strong technical skill-building for all kinds of music genres.
Hometown
I am from Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. I didn’t properly learn English until 7th grade.
First musical experience
West Side Story, when I was in 8th or 9th grade in Taiwan. I was amazed by the music, dance, and singing, and I decided to be a singer.
Favorite movies
I love animations by Studio Ghibli, like Castle in the Sky, My Neighbor Totoro, Only Yesterday, Pom Poko, etc.
