Kids Cabaret (ages 7-14) Kids work in a fun, up-beat, and supportive atmosphere. Workshops incorporate singing, acting, dancing and set, prop, and costume design. Team-building through theater games, writing exercises, and improvisation. Each three-week intensive course culminates in a performance. Class limit: 20 students

Drum and Dance Summer residency with Marafanyi (ages 5 - 7/8-1-) Join Yael and Laura of Marafanyi for an inspired musical journey discovering the sounds and songs of West Africa. Explore their instruments and learn the rhythms, dances and songs of Guinea, West Africa in this week of fun and joyful music making!

Music Explorers (ages 5 - 9) A hands-on introduction to Western instruments with exciting workshops in world music & dance. Students explore the world of music with instruments, dance, song and games, with New School master musicians.

Music Together classes are based on the belief that music is as much a basic life skill as walking and talking, and that all children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence and pleasure in the music of our culture. Parents or caregivers are vital participants in each class. Tuition includes an illustrated songbook, parent education materials, and a CD of music used in class.
Classes are 45 minutes. Summer term: Begins June 23-July 30, 2009 Fees: $137 (6 weeks); Sibling fee: $100 (no extra materials required)
